Emmanuel Student Ministries
About
In a culture of relativism, Emmanuel Baptist Church's youth ministry seeks to ground and focus our students in the Word of God so that they might "all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ, (Eph. 4:13)." We seek to do this by studying various books of the Bible, discussing current teen issues, and by incorporating worship songs into our weekly Bible study. We also like to have fun and play games, go to camps, and do many different kinds of events and retreats.
What We Do
Emmanuel Student Ministries is for teenagers in 6th grade to 12th grade. In addition to biblical teaching, we have monthly planned events like lock-ins, concerts, bowling, putt-putt, laser-tag, bonfires, camping, movies, card/board games, video games, and more! We also do a couple camps/retreats per year. These focus on one theme or topic for the weekend. The worship music and Bible studies are all centered around this theme. There are many games and activities that we play as well!
Our Vision
Emmanuel Student Ministries seeks to glorify God in all that we do by preaching to our students and letting the Holy Spirit work and move in their lives.
Sunday School
In Sunday School we go through various Christian living books, studying how to live our lives more to obey God. We go through books written by pastors and theologians who focus on different aspects of the Christian faith. Sometimes, we will also so a video series on some aspect of doctrine and theology to help build more of a foundation of the gospel and other important doctrines and how they apply to the kids’ lives.
Youth Group
In Youth Group on Sunday nights we take a closer look at God's Word by going different books of the Bible or themes throughout the Bible and how they apply to our lives in our time and culture today. The last Sunday of every month we have a Q&A time which we call "Table Talk", answering any questions our teens have about life. After the lessons we play games at the church, eat some food, and have fun!
